I Notice I notice the carefree laughter of children; the purring of my cat I notice the arrogance of my youth; the loneliness in the wrinkly eyes of old men and women I notice the dreams in the eyes of the pizza delivery guy I notice the seductive aroma of my morning coffee; the solitude in which I enjoy it I notice the desperate, growing hunger for life in me; I notice how my deceased father had the same hunger I notice the birds as they soar high in the sky with the first ray of sunshine; I notice how we connect as I enjoy my morning drive to work I notice the golden rays of sunshine; I notice my smile in the rear-view mirror of my car I notice the beauty that my 9yo is; I notice my worries for the dynamic persona that she will be I notice unresolved trauma in my widowed mother; I notice how I haven’t called her for four days I notice how tired my man feels; How he would love to take a break to breathe I notice desires, I notice passion, I notice tears and longingness; That of my own and of others I notice my hypocrisy and that of others; the hypocrisy of my relationships I notice how I haven’t forgiven my husband I notice how he’s already forgiven me.
Love your writing Sanobar! I don’t have fancy words to praise your piece of work but the words have really touched my heart. We notice a lot many things, but don’t always have the courage or time to say it loud. And sometimes it’s better to notice & appreciate things in silence.
Hope to read more of your writing here in the coming days! All the best for the new journey 👍
Its beautiful Sanobar! Makes me realize how I often ignore the small things in life that mean so much. Keep writing. Would love to read more of what you write.
Thank you, Supriya! It helped me to pause and reflect on the things that do matter to me on a daily basis. I'm sure the list would be more elaborate but it probably depends on the kind of day you're having?
